Your host Michele is a longstanding chef who will be pleased to provide you this genuine experience from the moment you’ll meet him to go to the market and buy all what’s needed to the time when you’ll eat what you’ve cooked under his supervision.
After meeting Michele you’ll go with him to the central market of Venice called Rialto and start reviewing the many fruit and vegetable stands to find the best produce, typical and good cuisine always relies on 100% fresh season products.
The fish market comes next, the place is so appealing with all the stands showing a great variety of sea creatures no surprise it became one of Venice’s main attractions. As Michele examines what he needs to be cooked you’ll know about the different species and the recipes you’ll cook later on.
Michele lives in a real 16th century palazzo at the top floor so as part of this tour experience count on visiting a real Venetian abode, lean from a window and enjoy a view of Venice’s rooftop while sipping a glass of wine.
And now get your apron and get ready. Under Michele’s guidance and according to the menu you picked, you can ‘put your hands on’ on a variety of dishes ranging from simple tidbits of food called cicheti to more elaborate first and second courses.
As you cook, besides telling all about the recepie you’re preparing Michele will talk also about the culinary tradition of Venice and its region and its wines.
After the cooking session is now time to taste the dish you’ve just made, sit with Michele and chat with him sipping a local wine as good friends in a familiar ambiance.
